Deep Dive VII Submarine
DEEP DIVE VII is a dynamic diving model submarine, styled on an imagined exploration and survey vessel. Its wing like shape provides very stable and effective underwater performance and being a dynamic diver it uses the front hydrovanes for dive angle and hence depth control (like flaps on an aeroplace wing), returning to the surface when not moving forward.

The Model
A revision of HFM's engaging DEEP DIVE 6, this submersible model starter kit is revised with updated enlarged vibrant decals and some small detail changes from the original whilst ensuring the same great performance.
A well established fan-base provides plenty of information and inspiration including adaption to use a ballast dive system or controllable rear vanes, which are easily installed.
The model is 110cm (43 inches) long, with a beam of 14cm (5 inches) wide. The kit is formed in bright yellow, robust styrene plastic and is simple to build with very little glue used, because of its mostly screwed together construction.

The Build
Everything you need to build the kit is included in the box:
The bright yellow moulding and colour decals mean that the model does not need painting and therefore all you need to do is supply the two-channel RC equipment, speed controller and batteries.
(For guidence, fitting six 1400mA batteries will provide over 40 minutes dive time)
(Note that 2.4GHz based RC systems do not work well in submarines and so you are advised to use eiither a 27MHz or 40MHz based system for a reliable signal which can penetrate below the water.)
- Two hull halves, Dive and stern planes, Rudder, Ballast tanks,
- Brass rod, aluminium tube, and stainless-steel screws,
- A stainless steel prop shaft, propeller and a speed 400 size motor,
- Microflex coupling for silent running,
- Full updated and enlarged decal set,
- Laser-cut detailing parts.
